Western Canada Guided Whitewater Kayak Trip

This western tour will bring you to the Alberta border of the Rocky Mountains and through to the interior of British Columbia. This trip takes in a large amount of country and everything from small volume play runs to the super impressive medium volume runs of BC's rugged interior.

Itinerary
  • Day 1: 3 hour drive from Calgary to Golden where we set up camp before kayaking the world famous Kicking Horse River. (Class III/III+)
  • Day 2: A morning session ont he Kicking Horse before heading north west to the Clearwater.
  • Day 3: A full days paddling on the super fun and warm Clearwater River. Lots of Class III rapids and plenty of play for the surf fiends aongst us (Class III/III+)
  • Day 4: A morning paddle on the Clearwater (we are flexible on the section, before heading further into BC to Quesnel Forks at the small town of Likely.
  • Day 5: After a leisurely start we will hit up the play wave at the put in to the Quesnel River, those who are feeling mellow can just hang out on the bank at spectate. After lunch we will do a descent of the Quesnel River (Class III/IV)
  • Day 6: After breakfast we will get a feel for the groups energy levels, we may go for a play session, maybe another run ont he Quesnel or hit up a section on the Caribou River (Class III/IV). After paddling we will take the long drive to Revelstoke.
  • Day 7: We can take our time a bit this morning and once we get going we will drive the 4 hours to the Kananaskis River for a final play run before the trip finishes. You will be dropped at your respective hotels upon returning to Calgary.

  • Moderate level of fitness
  • Sense of adventure
Notes
  • This trip can be arranged as a private departure anytime for groups of 2 or more.
