BOOK EARLY AS THIS COURSE FILLS UP FAST!!!
The Intermediate Creeking Weekend, is the next progression from an Intro to Creeking course.
This program runs late in April when water levels are typically still super manageable. The usual plan of attack is to cruise down to Fernie on the Friday night and camp near the Elk River (Elko).
Saturday will be spent taking two runs on the spectacular Middle Elk. These runs will be a combination of guiding, instruction with a strong focus on working on scouting, safety and decision making skills in this deep canyon.
Sunday will either be again on the Middle Elk, though if water levels (and roads) allow, we will try and get on Skookumchuk Creek in the East Kootenay Valley.
Our focus for this program is to give you exposure to some classic Class IV runs and to help provide you the skills and confidence to get out and explore these type of runs on your own.
