Costa Rica Fall Whitewater

As the season wraps up here in Canada, why not sneak a little summer 'extension' on an instructional, guided trip to Costa Rica with Aquabatics/Adventure Trippin. World class rivers and instruction, great acommodations and food are the highlights of this quick trip to Central Americas, premiere paddling destination.

There is a Class II/III trip and a Class III/IV trip available. The itinerary below is the Class III/IV one, however the Class II/III is almost identical just using different sections of river.
Non paddling friends and family can join either trip in raft or inflatable kayak. Please contact us for more info on pricing for that option.

  • Day 2:
    Kayaking the Rio Pejibaye
In the morning we will paddle the Class III ‘school’ section before heading up river in the afternoon to run the Class IV upper section. We will paddle all day today to get the travelling cobwebs out……
    • Breakfast
    • Lunch
    • Dinner
  • Day 3:
Drive to Sarapiqui, Kayaking the San Miguel Section of the Sarapiqui
This is one of my favorite Class IV runs in Central/South America, super fun, warm water, a great challenging day out.
    • Breakfast
    • Lunch
    • Dinner
  • Day 4:
    Kayaking Upper Toro River
After breakfast we will head to the Rio Toro (Bull River), I raft guided on this river for a season and love the technical, challenging whitewater on this run. It is pool drop in nature so is forgiving in that respect, however the rapids will keep you on your toes. After paddling we will head back to Turrialba to prepare for our few days on the Pacuare River.
    • Breakfast
    • Lunch
    • Dinner
  • Day 5:
    Rest Day or Optional Activities
When booking your trip today you can opt to have a day off to your own devices or to take part in some non-kayak related activities. The 'set' off day activity is a half day canyoning trip, which involves rapelling down a bunch of water falls and doing some cool jumps into beautiful pools.  We will meet up again in the evening for a group dinner to discuss our days activities
    • Breakfast
    • Lunch
    • Dinner
  • Day 6:
    Kayaking the Upper Upper Pacuare
A great day of clear water class III/IV paddling in a beautiful canyon
    • Breakfast
    • Lunch
    • Dinner
  • Day 7:

Kayaking Pacuare River, Overnight in the Rainforest
A mellower day of Class II/III boating, and a shorter day on the river which will deliver us to our overnight stay in the Jungle Lodge, this is a super cool night out and today kind of acts as a bit of a rest day

    • Breakfast
    • Lunch
    • Dinner
  • Day 9:

    Kayaking the Lower Pacuare River
An unreal day on the water, a long day of paddling with some absolutely world class Grade III/IV paddling in an amazing canyon, no trip to Central America is complete without a run down this section.  After Paddling we will return to Turrialba for a farewell dinner together.

On day 9 you will be transferred to San Jose for your flight home
