PANAMA CREEKING WEEK


For those of you looking to up your creeking game, the Panama Creeking week is a trip to keep in mind. We will spend 7 days running some super exciting creeks in this little known paddling destination.
Throughout the week we will also work on creeking skills such as boofing, river reading, portaging, running safety on river communications and more

This trip is an ideal add on to the Class III/IV Costa Rica paddling week as it follows directly afterwards.

Prequisites:

  • Comfortable on Class III/III+ whitewater with an interest in running some Class IV

Notes:

  • Includes all accommodation, breakfasts and lunches (not dinners), transport, boat rental and instruction in country
  • International airfare NOT INCLUDED

  • We can arrange this as a private departure for groups of 4 or more on alternative dates
  • The rivers on this trip are steep and low volume, you will be paddling creek boats

Basic Itinerary:

  • Day 1:
    Arrive in David and transfer to accommodation in Boquete

    • Dinner
  • Day 2:
    River Days - Day 2 to Day 8
    Due to the nature of the rivers and the fluctuations due to rain, we will have no set rivers to paddle each day.  However our schedule will look something like this.  Up at 7am for breakfast, on the road by 7:30am with the aim of being off the river by 2:30pm or thereabouts (this is due to high probability of flash floods in the afternoon).  Around 4:30pm we will do a dry land coaching session for an hour or so, and then we head out for dinner.

  • Day 9:

    Departure Day - Day 8
    Today we will do a slightly shorter run in the morning to give everyone time to get back, dry a bit of gear and pack before heading to the airport for an evening flight out of David.
